Manas narrator Doolot Sydykov sets record for narrating epic

Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2020 / Kabar /. A record was set in Kyrgyzstan for the duration of narrating the Manas epic. Manas narrator Doolot Sydykov narrated the Manas epic without interruption for 14 hours and 27 minutes. He began on Nov. 12 at 09:43 a.m. local time and finished at 00:17 a.m. on Nov. 13. In order to enter the Guinness Book of Records, an application was submitted for a 12-hour continuous narration. The Kyrgyz epic "Manas" was included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This decision was made during the eighth meeting of the UNESCO intergovernmental committee. It is also included in the Guinness Book of Records as the greatest epic in the world.
