Japan’s FM due in Iran soon

Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Hirofumi Nakasone will pay an official visit to Iran soon.

Hirofumi is schduled to hold talks with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and other senior Iranian officials.

The sides will exchange views on issues of mutual interests, ways to build international confidence about Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities and Tehran’s active role in establishing stability and security in the region.

The visit will take place on the occasion of 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Iran and Japan.

Hirofumi will also visit New Zealand, Australia and Egypt.

Tehran and Tokyo have improved relations during recent years.

Meanwhile, deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Japan will form joint committees on human rights, political consultation and judiciary.
