Kyrgyz ambassador briefs Tajik FM about situation in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Tajikistan Zhanysh Rustenbekov met in Dushanbe on October 26 with Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseynzoda, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting Rustenbekov briefed the interlocutor about the current internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan and the new government of the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, who make efforts to reform the system of public administration and noted that the situation in the country has stabilized and political processes are developing in the legal field.
The ambassador emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic remains fully committed to all its international obligations and strict implementation of all previously signed bilateral and multilateral treaties and agreements.
The sides also discussed the prospects for building up bilateral cooperation at the level of heads of state, government and foreign affairs agencies of the two countries, as well as considered topical issues of mutually beneficial Kyrgyz-Tajik relations in political, water-energy, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, including joint interaction within the framework of regional and international organizations. Special attention was paid to the issues of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
Following the meeting, confidence was expressed that the existing friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan would continue to serve as a basis for further mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening good-neighborliness.
