Mottaki: Tehran-Washington cooperation on Afghanistan depends on Obama policies
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Monday that Tehran-Washington cooperation on Afghan issues depends on the Obama administration’s scenario.
Talking to reporters at the end of a trilateral meeting on Afghanistan, he added that Iran is critical of the policies of the former US government.
“After Obama administration declares its policies in different sectors, we will review them and express our views,” he said.
In response to another question on the issue of Afghan migrants in Iran, he said that peaceful co-existence will be taken into account by the two countries.
According to Mottaki, currently three million Afghans are living in Iran, one million legally and two million illegally.
