Information Ministry arrests members of terrorist network

Information Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejeie said on Monday that a terrorist network affiliating to Zionists was identified and busted before they could carry out any anti-security actions.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the Zionist regime is seeking to mastermind plots against the country's security by inciting anti-revolutionarily groups and bandits.

Some time ago, 'we found out that the Zionists were seeking to mobilize these groups against the country', he said.

To deal with such plots seriously and timely, the Information Ministry spared no efforts to focus on such illegal activities and could successfully identify and arrest those involved before they could carry out their plans, he said.

The group had been well-prepared to set off a number of bomb blasts in order to create chaos before the country's presidential elections, said the minister.

As soon as investigations are complete, the public will be informed of the details, he said.

The Zionist regime is well aware of the fact that such futile attempts will bear no fruit, he pointed out.

He also called on the Iranian people, the youth in particular, to exercise vigilance in the face of such plots.
