The Crowds Of Pilgrims At Their Peak Today .. Iraqis Commemorate The Arbaeen Visit Of Imam Hussein (PBUH)
Baghdad / NINA / Report by Yusuf Salman: The Iraqis commemorated the ceremony of the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, today, Thursday with the participation of the masses of pilgrims (visitors) who flocked from all the provinces to the holy city of Karbala over the past days, amid health, service and security measures.
The Arbaeen visit ceremonies this year witnessed an almost complete absence of Arab and foreign pilgrims (visitors) from other Islamic countries, with the exception of a limited number of them, after the government decided to restrict participation due to the Coronavirus pandemic, while 32,000 Hussaini processions and bodies provided their services to visitors according to the Processions Authority in the holy Shrines, the Hussaini and Abbasi.
The correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / stated that "the crowds of pilgrims (visitors) that flocked from all governorates reached their peak today in Karbala governorate to commemorate the Arbaeen visit ceremonies amid tangible security, service and health measures with the participation of hundreds of condolences and Hussaini service organizations."
During the last ten days, the holy city witnessed a million influx of pilgrims (visitors) despite the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as adherence to preventive health measures, examination with thermal cameras, spraying sterilizers, and the continuation of daily fumigation operations around the clock for the pure shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abbas, peace be upon them, and the area between the Two Holy Shrines.
The process of transporting and dispatching the masses of pilgrims (visitors) to and from their governorates witnessed a clear flow through all the routs and roads leading to the two holy shrines, as the public and private vehicles transport still reach distances close to the city center of Karbala, and near the security blocks that have hundreds of large and small vehicles to facilitate visitors’ arrival. / End
