Construction on first Vietnam-Japan supporting IP starts
Bac Ninh (VNA) - Kinh Bac Urban Development Joint Stock Company (KBC) broke the
ground of the Vietnam-Japan Supporting Industrial Park No. 1, in northern Bac Ninh
province, on April 27.
Construction of the 16ha IP, specialising in supporting industries, the first of its
kind in Vietnam , is in line with the Vietnam-Japan agreement on developing
supporting IPs in the Southeast Asian country. Documents on the cooperation were
signed the same day in Bac Ninh by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the
Japan-based Vietnam Economic Research Institute, Bac Ninh provincial authorities and
KBC.
The Japanese side pledged to persuade 50 Japanese small-sized enterprises to invest
in the supporting IP with the aim of facilitating the operation of industrial groups
in Vietnam thus helping hi-tech industries into the country.
Japanese ambassador Mitsuo Sakaba said he hoped that with the IP, Bac Ninh and its
neighbouring provinces will play an important role in developing Vietnam 's
supporting industry, thus pushing the national economy up.
KBC is Vietnam 's leading real estate enterprise and is strong in IP investment
and development.
Its IPs have so far attracted 1 billion USD in investment from Japanese groups,
such as Canon, Tenma, Sanyo, Toyo Ink and Yamato Industries.-Enditem
