DEFENSE PRODUCTION OF AZERBAIJAN PRESENTED AT 9TH INTERNATIONAL FAIR IN ISTANBUL
Ankara, 27 April (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry has put on display Azerbaijan-made defense ammunition and equipment at the IDEF 2009 9th International Defense Industry Fair organized by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense in April 27-30 in Istanbul.
Colonel General Safar Abiyev, Azerbaijani Minister of Defense and Yaver Jamalov, Minister of Defense Industry attended the opening ceremony of the fair.
Addressing the event, Turkish Minister of National Defense Vecdi Gonul said his country wants to strengthen cooperation with its allies in the field of defense industry.
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan greeted foreign delegations at the event
The ceremony was attended by 400 officials, including 25 ministers from 80 countries.
