Defense minister in Venezuela
Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar arrived in Caracas, Venezuela, Monday on a three-day visit at the head of a high-ranking defense delegation.
The Iranian minister was welcomed at the Caracas Maiquetia airport by his Venezulan counterpart Ramon Carrizalez.
In addition to hold separate meetings with senior political and defense officials of the South American country, Mohammad-Najjar is to visit Venezuela’s military and industrial sites during his stay.
Promotion of Tehran-Caracas relations is among major goals of the Iranian minister’s visit to Venezuela which is the first by an Iranian defense minister to the country after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
