President Jeenbekov to address 75th session of UNGA through video link

Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 21, the High - Level Week of the 75th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly will start its work. The first event of the General Assembly will be the High-Level Meeting to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the UN. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov will address this event with video message on behalf of Kyrgyzstan, his press service reported Monday. His statement will be shown at the UN headquarters tonight. The General debate of the UN General Assembly will also take place within the High-Level Week, where on Sept. 23 Kyrgyz President will make a video address. In addition, the Kyrgyz leader will deliver a video message at the Summit on Biodiversity, which will be organized on Sept. 30 as part of the anniversary session of the UNGA. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and current quarantine restrictions in UN member states and New York City, all events of this year's High-Level Week will be held online.
