Foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan debate co-op issues

Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. A meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov was held Wednesday in the Russian capital city of Moscow, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said. During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction the progressive development of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation at all levels of interaction. Special attention was paid to the issues of investment, trade-economic and cross-border cooperation. The two foreign ministers stressed the need to complete delimitation of the remaining part of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border and ensure security in the region. An agreement was reached to take coordinated measures to overcome the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic in order to increase mutual trade turnover. The sides noted the importance of maintaining and strengthening interaction at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
