AZERBAIJAN EARNED AZN37.2m FROM TRAFFIC VIA TRACECA IN THREE MONTHS
Baku, April 26 (AzerTAc). Cargo and passenger traffic via the Azerbaijani section of the TRACECA corridor earned the country AZN37.2 million in the first three months of 2009, the State Statistical Committee said.
According to the official figures for January-March, traffic made 6.2 million tons in goods and 32.1 million in peoples.
The share of the railway transport in the overall amount of cargo traffic constituted 44.6%, motor transport 38.2% and sea transport 17.2%.
Cargo traffic via the Azerbaijani section of the corridor accounts for 24.9% in the overall amount of traffic in the transport sector.
