International observers of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly mission arrive in Osh

Osh, Sept. 7, 2020 / Kabar /. The staff of the Osh city administration, headed by Vice Mayor of the city Emilbek Shadykhanov, met with the international observers of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly mission Roman Amburtsev and Roman Romashov. During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in preparation for the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting, international observers noted the introduction of advanced digital technologies in Kyrgyzstan during the election process. "The main purpose of the visit of observers is to monitor the preparation for the elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic from the point of view of studying the main means of ensuring the openness and democracy of elections. As part of this program, we hold meetings with the leaders of regions, local governments, party leaders, that is, those who participate in the elections and ensures observance, first of all, of the legality and principles of democracy and openness of elections. A round table is also planned in Bishkek related to the problems of information security in the conditions of elections. The task is to achieve maximum interaction and positive cooperation while ensuring the electoral process," international observers said. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on close cooperation on organizing the openness and democracy of the upcoming elections. The parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on Oct. 4.
