Iran, Brazil keen on further economic cooperation
Iranian and Brazilian Finance Ministers Shamseddin Hosseini and Guido Mantega, respectively, stressed in a meeting on Saturday on the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings in Washington.
The Iranian and Brazilian finance ministers held the meeting to prepare the ground for finalizing the economic documents inked between the two nations.
The finalization process would be taken place while Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visits Brazil in a near future.
Meanwhile, Hosseini called for bilateral cooperation in investments by the private sectors, regarding the two countries’ industrial and economic potentials.
Referring to the world financial recession, the Brazilian minister for his part said the developing countries should deepen cooperation in order to face the financial crisis.
Also, he expressed his country’s readiness to host the Iranian delegations and finalize the bilateral agreements.
