Japan, Uzbekistan to accelerate commissioning works of joint facilities

Heads of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Uzkimyosanoat JSC and Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries discussed the construction of a complex for the production of ammonia and carbamide (urea) at one of the largest enterprises of the chemical industry in Uzbekistan Navoiyazot JSC, Trend reports via Dunyo information agency.
The parties considered issues related to the return of Japanese specialists to the construction site and the acceleration of start-up and commissioning, preparation of the site and external infrastructure, training of local personnel who will be involved in commissioning, and further operations of the complex.
Organizational issues related to commissioning at the Turakurgan TPP were also discussed by the parties.
The Japanese side assured that it would make every effort to complete all work as quickly and efficiently as possible in compliance with safety measures.
Sides agreed on organizing the phased return of Japanese specialists, as well as the return of the experts from other countries in September this year and accelerated implementation of the entire range of work to commission a modern complex by the end of 2020.
The delegation of Uzbekistan continues to stay in Japan to discuss with the Japanese partners the state and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy and chemical industries.
