Kyrgyzstan plans to host another int’l meeting within Issyk-Kul Forum

Bishkek, Sept. 1, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is planning to hold another international meeting within the Issyk-Kul Forum, Academician of the Eurasian Television Academy Assol Moldokmatova said. According to her, this event is a continuation of the tradition established by great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov in 1986 - holding meetings of famous representatives of literature, culture, intellectual circles and the public from different countries. The upcoming Forum is a joint Kyrgyz-Turkish initiative. Main organizers of the event are Chyngyz Aitmatov International Issyk-Kul Forum, Assol Moldokmatova International Fund, famous Turkish cultural figure and film director Omer Erdogan with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkey. According to Moldokmatova, in addition to Kyrgyz representatives, about 50 foreign guests from 10 countries are expected to arrive at the Forum entitled “Chyngyz Aitmatov as a state and public figure”. "The Issyk-Kul Forum is planned to be held on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the writer's birth and to be held on Dec. 10-12, if the epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is favorable for this," she said.
