STATE BORDER SERVICE CHIEF MEETS COMMANDER OF IRAN`S BORDER POLICE AND HEAD OF RUSSIA`S BORDER GUARD SERVICE
Baku, April 25 (AzerTAc). Chief of Azerbaijan State Border Service Elchin Guliyev met Friday with Commander of Iran`s Border Police Qasem Rezaei and Head of Russia`s Border Guard Service, General of the Army Vladimir Pronichev.
The talks focused on the situation along the state borders including at border checkpoints and in the Caspian Sea as well as prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijani, Iranian and Russian border services.
They stressed the necessity of maintaining cooperation to fight against international terrorism, illegal migration, drug trade, smuggling and other illegal activities along state borders.
They also signed bilateral and trilateral protocols.
