Techmart Vietnam ASEAN + 3 to be held in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) - About 600 enterprises and organisations from ASEAN countries, China
, Japan and the Republic of Korea (RoK) will attend Techmart Vietnam ASEAN + 3
in Hanoi from September 17-20.

The event will introduce technology and equipment in food processing, renewable
energy, information and communication. ASEAN countries have conducted joint research
with good results in these fields in recent years, Director of the National Science
and Technology Centre Ta Ba Hung said at a press briefing in Hanoi on April 24.


Vietnam has held three biennial national technology fairs since 2003 in order to
boost trade promotion and advanced technology transfer, which resulted in the
signing of contracts worth a total of more than 3 trillion VND.

This is the first time Techmart Vietnam is included in the official agenda of
the ASEAN+3 Scientific and Technological Committee, Hung said.-Enditem
