Kyrgyzstan adds 135 COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported 135 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, raising the total diagnosed cases to 41,991. Ainura Akmatova, the head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry told a daily news briefing that 5 of the new cases are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 3,035, including 2,342 recoveries. She said that 261 patients of COVID-19 have recovered over the past day, bringing the total recoveries to 34,567. The virus-related death tally climbed to 1,496 with 1 more recorded in the previous 24 hours.
