Kyrgyzstan’s COVID-19 cases reach 39,162 with 503 new cases

Bishkek, Aug. 7, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added on Friday 503 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 39,162. Head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told a daily news briefing that 17 of the new cases are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 2,928, including 2,025 recoveries. Akmatova announced the recovery of 665 COVID-19 patients over the past day, bringing the total recoveries to 30,764. Meanwhile 4 lethal cases from the coronavirus were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the country's COVID-19 death toll to 1,451. Currently, there are 7,024 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, all of them are receiving treatment in hospitals.
