Kyrgyz ambassador to Japan attends 75th commemoration ceremony of atomic bombing victims

Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Japan Mirlan Astanbayev attended 75th anniversary service, dedicated to the memory of the victims of Hiroshima atomic bombing. According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service, the memorial ceremony was held at the Peace Memorial Park in the center of Hiroshima and started at 08:15 local time when the atomic bomb exploded. "A minute of silence was declared, which was counted by bell beats," the report says. Hiroshima Mayor Kazumi Matsui presented Peace Declaration calling for complete nuclear disarmament. The commemoration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, MPs and the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan, the diplomatic corps accredited in Japan, representatives of families of the victims and survivors of the atomic bombing.
