Kyrgyzstan documents 545 new cases of coronavirus infection

Bishkek, July 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, 545 new cases of U07.1 and U07.2 COVID-19 coronavirus infection were detected in Kyrgyzstan, raising the total number of infections to 33,841, Head of the Public Health Department of the republic’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told during a news briefing. Of these, 8 are cases of infection among medical workers, total at 2,691, including 1,520 recoveries. Akmatova also reported another 1,091 cases of recovery among population of the country, bringing the nationwide recoveries to 22,296 since the beginning of the pandemic. At present, 10,227 coronavirus patients are receiving treatment at hospitals and inpatient centers. Of these, 4,428 patients are with the laboratory confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, and 5,799 are patients with community-acquired pneumonia. According to the Health Ministry’s representative, 28 more people throughout Kyrgyzstan died from COVID-19, including community-acquired pneumonia. Thus, the country’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 1,329.
