New stations to be built at Iranian Central Oil Fields Company

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27

It is planned to construct pressure boosting stations at a number of gas fields at Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) in order to maintain production, director of Investment and Development Department of the ICOFC Mohammad Bahmei said, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.
The director said that it is planned to invest $600 million in the construction of these stations.
He added that thus, the pressure boosting stations will be built for Kangan, Homa, Tang-e-Bijar, and Varavi gas fields and a separator center for the Tabnak gas field will be establish. Thus, these fields are half their life in the current situation.
Bahmei stressed that the aim is to ensure the sustainable supply of gas to Iran's Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company, Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company and Ilam Gas Treating Company.
"Necessary research has been carried out for the construction of these stations, and it is planned to build these stations for 36 months," he said.
At present, Iranian Central Oil Fields Company has 12 gas fields and 13 oil fields, and 2 oil and 2 gas fields are being developed.
Iranian Central Oil Fields Company produced 41 million barrels of oil and 70 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
