Ceremony of handing over Russian humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan to fight COVID-19 held

Bishkek, July 27, 2020. /Kabar/. A solemn ceremony of transferring humanitarian aid in the form of medical equipment, medicines and personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic was held. Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova made a speech at the ceremony. "First of all, I would like to express gratitude to the Russian side, which in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership provides invaluable assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against COVID-19," she said. In turn, Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nikolay Udovichenko expressed confidence that the parties will jointly manage to turn the tide in treatment of patients with COVID-19. "This gesture provided by Russia is indeed a gesture of allied relations, which is quite natural in the current situation," the ambassador added. As part of agreements reached between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russia Vladimir Putin, the Russian side provided another batch of humanitarian aid, which was delivered to the city of Bishkek on July 26 with a special board of the Russian Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief. The humanitarian cargo consists of medical equipment, medicines and personal protective equipment (radiographic apparatus - 5 units, 65 monitors for anesthesiology and intensive care with an oxometric sensor - 65 pieces, monitor for anesthesiology and intensive care without an oxometric sensor – 5 units, 31 ventilators, medicines and medical masks in the amount of 100 thousand pieces).
