Georgia’s import of electrical goods from Turkey drops in 1H2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25

The export of electrical goods from Turkey to Georgia from January through June 2020 decreased by 28.23 percent compared to the same period of 2019, having made up $34.9 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on July 24.
The export of electrical goods from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 26.37 percent in June 2020 compared to June 2019 and amounted to $6.5 million.
The export of electrical goods from Turkey declined by 12.3 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having amounted to slightly over $4.7 billion.
According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to foreign markets made up 6.3 percent of the country’s total export for the first half of this year.
"Turkey’s export of electrical goods to the world markets amounted to $902.7 million in June 2020, which is 26.2 percent more compared to June 2019," the ministry said.
In June 2020, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to the world markets amounted to 6.7 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last twelve months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported electrical goods worth over $10.5 billion.
