Kyrgyz, Uzbek leaders talk over phone

Bishkek, July 24, 2020. /Kabar/. A phone conversation was held Friday between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Kyrgyz leader congratulated Mirziyoyev on his birthday and wished strong health, prosperity and success, his press service reported. Jeenbekov noted with satisfaction the personal contribution of the Uzbek President in developing and strengthening the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership. The two leaders discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including border interaction and intensification of work on delimitation and demarcation of Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. They noted with satisfaction the work of the two countries in providing mutual humanitarian assistance, and also considered measures to further enhance joint efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
