Al-Kadhimi Heads To Tehran For An Official Visit

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi headed this morning to Tehran on an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the head of a government delegation. The Iranian presidential office announced that Al-Kadhimi will arrive in Tehran today, Tuesday, at the head of a high-level political and economic delegation in his first foreign tour as prime minister, to hold discussions with senior officials. Ali Reza Moazi, assistant for communications and media affairs at the Iranian presidential office, said that Al-Kadhimi will arrive in Tehran today, Tuesday, at the head of a high-level delegation and the Iranian Energy Minister, Seyed Ali Reza Avaei, will receive him at Mehrabad Airport in the capital, Tehran, " He added: "After President Rouhani officially receives Al-Kadhimi, the two countries' official delegations will begin their discussions, and the Iraqi prime minister will have a private meeting with President Rouhani." He continued, "The talks between the two delegations and the meeting with President Rouhani will be followed by joint high-level talks between the two countries, in which Al-Kadhimi and the first vice-president of Iran, Eshaq Jahangiri, will participate." Moazi pointed out that during his two-day visit to Tehran, Al-Kadhimi will meet the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The Iranian official pointed out that the delegation includes the foreign minister, Fuad Hussein, the oil Minister, Ihsan Abdul Jabbar, the electricity Majid Mahdi Hantush, the finance Ali Abdul Amir Allawi, Defense Juma Anad, Health Hassan al-Tamimi, and National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji. / End
