Vietnam, Laos political academies enhance ties
Vientiane (VNA) - A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy Politics and Public Administration, headed by Director Le Huu Nghia is on a working visit to Laos from April 19-25.
During the visit, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the 2009-2013
period was signed between the Vietnamese academy delegation and its Lao counterpart.
The Vietnamese delegation attended a conference to launch a two-year joint project
on Party building during the process of developing Vietnam and Laos into
socialist oriented market economies.
It also paid a courtesy visit to Samane Vignaket, a member of the politburo, who is
in charge of ideological and cultural works of the Lao People's Revolutionary
Party.
The Lao leader praised the agreement that the two academies had reached and
expressed his belief that increasing cooperation would lead to a scientific project
of importance during the political lifetime of both Parties.-Enditem
