Russia plans to provide additional assistance to Kyrgyzstan in fight against coronavirus

Bishkek, July 16, 2020. /Kabar/. The Russian and Kyrgyz governmental authorities continue to work actively to organize specific assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic in combating the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. As reported on the website of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, in early July 2020 a group of specialists from Rospotrebnadzor (Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) and the Russian Ministry of Health arrived in Bishkek to clarify the current situation. Consultations were held at Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry and medical institutions, where Kyrgyz citizens are treated. The Russian side also donated another batch of test systems for research. Previously, test systems with reagents for diagnosis of coronavirus, thermal imagers, as well as personal protective equipment for the needs of the Ministry of Defense were also provided. "We expect to inform the public about additional assistance from the Russian Federation in overcoming the difficult situation in the near future," the report reads.
