EIGHT EURASIA MEDIA FORUM KICKS OFF IN ALMATY
Baku, April 23 (AzerTAc). The 8th Eurasia Media Forum started in Almaty, Kazakhstan, bringing together about 450 politicians, scientists, experts and heads of leading media outlets from various countries.
On the first day of the event, participants discussed global financial crisis, problems of modern journalism, common world currency and other issues.
Azerbaijan is represented at the event by the country`s ambassador to Kazakhstan Latif Gandilov and Elkhan Nuriyev, Head of the Strategic Research Center under the President of Azerbaijan Republic.
Addressing the event Elkhan Nuriyev said in spite of the global financial crisis, Azerbaijan`s economy is steadily developing.
He noted work on drawing up anti-crisis program in Azerbaijan is underway, adding the program will enable the country to maintain the stability of its economy.
