36 Students From Basra Schools Ranked Third In “UC MATH “Global Competition

Basra / NINA /- The Basra Education Directorate announced that 36 students from the schools of the province achieved the third rank globally and for different age groups in the " UC MATH " global competition for mental computing, which is held annually in Malaysia and that was held remotely (online) this year due to the pandemic conditions of Coronavirus . The commissioner of the Institute for Meaningful Thought Nael Al-Jabiri said, according to the statement of ministry of education "Iraq participated in the annual championship of the UC MATH program for the third time in a row with 87 countries, and we participated with 80 pupils from all governorates and we got the third position globally by solving 100 questions in 3 minutes thanks to the large talents of a number of students in Basra governorate schools, appreciating the role of Basra Education Directorate in achieving this great achievement. It is mentioned that the UC MATH program is a program to develop mental and intellectual abilities for children from 5 years to 15 years through which they are mentally prepared to solve problems quickly. / End
