Kyrgyzstan reports 439 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, July 15, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported 439 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Wednesday raising the total number of infections to 11,977. Head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova said that 3,101 laboratory tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours, which detected 439 new cases. Among the new cases 105 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 1,980, including 576 recoveries. Akmatova said that 3,660 patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 had recovered from the disease since the outbreak of the virus, including 91, who were discharged from hospitals over the past day after showing improvement. The representative of the Health Ministry reported 11 new virus-related deaths, raising the total number of death toll to 160. Meanwhile, 645 people remained hospitalized, 18 patients are in intensive care. In addition, 5,858 asymptomatic patients are in home quarantine.
