Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover declines by 22.7%

Bishkek, July 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to USD 2 million 125 thousand 008 in January-May 2020, the press service of the country's National Statistics Committee reported.
This figure decreased by 22.7% compared to January-May 2019, while export supplies increased by 1.2% and import revenues, by contrast, decreased by 31.8%.
In January-May 2020, the volume of mutual trade of the republic with the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) member states amounted to USD 927.4 million and declined by 11.9% compared to January-May 2019.
At the same time, export supplies decreased by 18.9%, while import revenues dropped by 9.9% compared to January-May 2019.
Russia (68.4%) and Kazakhstan (29.6%) accounted for the largest share of the republic's mutual trade with the EAEU member states.
