Qatar to provide to Kyrgyzstan over 400 oxygen concentrators

Bishkek, July 8, 2020. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Ministry of Health hosted the ceremony of signing memorandum on cooperation with the Embassy of Qatar in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Branch of the Qatar Charity (QC) in the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the press service of the ministry, the purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to develop friendly relations and strengthen cooperation in the field of health care and medical science. The sides will cooperate in the construction of facilities for the organization of medical care in Kyrgyzstan and the provision of medical equipment to the health care organization. The ceremony was attended by State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry Kalysbek Shadykhanov, Ambassador of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Director of the QC Branch in Kyrgyzstan Hassan Ovda, Director for Programs and Activities of the QC Branch Mohammad Homam Alsamman and others. The cooperation protocol provides for 420 oxygen concentrators worth $250,000 to help fight coronavirus infection by QC. These oxygen concentrators will be delivered to the Kyrgyz Republic within 14 days and distributed to the healthcare organization.
