AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT`S SPEAKER MEETS RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR TO COUNTRY
Baku, April 22 (AzerTAc). Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ogtay Asadov met Wednesday with Russian ambassador to the country Vladimir Dorokhin.
Asadov expressed confidence that the newly appointed ambassador would contribute to deepening relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The Speaker underlined that relations between Azerbaijan and Russia have deep roots adding reciprocal visits by the two countries` presidents play a big role in strengthening them even more.
Remembering President Ilham Aliyev`s last visit to Russia, the Speaker said the meetings held there will make a considerable contribution to boosting bilateral ties.
Asadov also stressed the active cooperation between Azerbaijani and Russian parliamentary delegations within various international organizations.
The Speaker expressed hope that Russia would continue to make efforts to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Vladimir Dorokhin said Azerbaijan and Russia have steadily developing comprehensive relations.
The ambassador noted during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding bilateral ties.
