Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express delivering locomotives to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jun. 25 By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend: Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express company is carrying out electric locomotives' delivery from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the KTZ Express. The first batch delivery was arranged within the framework of the interstate order from the Azerbaijan Railways under the agreement on transport expedition with Kazkhstan's Electrovoz Kurastyru Zauyty LLP. The transportation was organized by KTZE-Northern company, which is a subsidiary of KTZ Express JSC. The delivered locomotives are of the French Alstom Transport SA engineering company manufacturing. The delivery process was carried out on the ‘Single Window’ principle basis. The cargo was dispatched from Kazakhstan’s Sorokovaya station, then transported by ferry via the ports of Kazakh Kuryk and Azerbaijani Alat to the station of Balajari (Azerbaijan). The delivery took up to 10 days. In the future, sending of another 28 electric locomotives to Azerbaijan with an average frequency of once a month is planned.
