BAKU DECLARATION ADOPTED BY CONFERENCE OF HEADS OF OIC LAW-ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

Baku, April 22 (AzerTAc). The two-day conference of the Heads of law-enforcement agencies from OIC member countries has today concluded with adoption of the Baku declaration.
On the second of the conference, participants discussed legal assistance and extradition, legalization of illegally-earned money and property and combat against corruption.
Justice Minister Fikret Mammadov who chaired at the third session said the event laid foundation for more effective fight against crime.
Minister noted Azerbaijan takes serious measures to fight corruption. He noted Azerbaijan signed deals on legal assistance, extradition and legal information exchange with OIC member countries including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, UAE and Jordan. Azerbaijan is ready to ink respective bilateral documents with Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Algeria.
