BAKU HOSTS 2nd CONFERENCE OF ECO NATIONAL LIBRARIES COUNCIL
Baku, April 22 (AzerTAc). The 2nd conference of the Council of Directors of National Libraries of the Economic Cooperation Organization`s (ECO) member countries was held at the Azerbaijan National Library after Akhundov.
Co-organized by the Azeri ministry of culture and tourism and Azerbaijan National Library, the event brought together directors of the national libraries of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and officials of the ECO Cultural Institute.
The conference adopted the council`s charter and set up a Committee of Rare Books and Manuscripts.
Tuncel Acar, director of the Turkish National Library, was elected the committee`s chair.
