President: Iran has questions on human rights to ask Europe and US

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in an exclusive interview with the Swiss French language TV5 channel and TVS1 said, on the issue of human rights, Iran has questions to ask Europe and US and not vice versa.

He said Iranians believe that the Western countries are the root cause of all anti human rights moves all over the world.
Responding to a question on the western countries' concern over his presence in Durban 2 meeting, the president said that the reason for their concern should be found out. “We are against racism and we believe the root cause of the world problems is in racism and that Iranians are ready to help uproot racism and establish peace and security in the world."
Those who did not attend the meeting should answer their nations whether they support racism or not, the president said.
He added that the whole world knows that the Zionist regime is a symbol of racism nowadays.
"The regime is killing women and children of Palestine, then they (western countries) condemn them. Why are defending them," Ahmadinejad said, adding that the Zionists consider themselves superior to others and this means racism.
Concerning killing of Jews during the World War II , Ahmadinejad said, “I just asked two questions, but they attacked me instead of answering. I am a teacher and every human being has the right to ask about incidents.
"My first question was this: If Holocaust is a historical incident, where has it happened and why should the Palestinians pay for it ?" the president said, addig that the west calls him a warmonger instead of answering his question.
"The second question was this: While everybody has the right to investigate about every issue, why is research and investigation on Holocaust prohibited in Europe and leads to punishment?"
Concerning Iran’s reaction to the US President Barack Obama's willingness to establish ties with Tehran, President Ahmadinejad said Iran wants relations based on respect and justice.
Answering a question about Israel's threats to attack Iran for its nuclear activities, President Ahmadinejad said in Iran's point of view, these threats do not matter. "They cannot protect themselves. How can they attack a big country like Iran?"
He went on to say that Iran’s Islamic Revolution was a revolution in thoughts and culture and it means respecting human rights, justice and brotherhood. Capitalism has come to its end and people of the world talk about Iran.
On his expectations from the Jeneva meeting, Ahmadinejad said it should take steps to make racism disappear, because racism is the root cause of political, economic and cultural crises. Of course, fight against racism is very difficult, because the main power and wealth of the world is now in the hands of racists, he said.
