Iran capable of safeguarding entire region
Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said here Tuesday that Iran has enough military power to defend security of the entire region.
“Iran is a powerful and influential country in the world,” he said.
He added that the culture of the Islamic Revolution was the main factor behind the national power, saying, “The Islamic Revolution is moving on the road to development and justice at a high speed.”
The commander said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, certain Western and Eastern countries made their utmost efforts to prevent its spread.
“The global arrogance imposed economic, military, political and cultural sanctions against the Islamic Republic,” Firouzabadi, who is also a member of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), added.
He concluded that all efforts made by big powers with an aim of controlling the world have failed.
