MILLI MAJLIS CHAIR MEETS INDIAN AMBASSADOR
Baku, April 22 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan Parliament, Ogtay Asadov has met newly appointed Indian ambassador Debnad Show.
They discussed interparliamentary relations, and Asadov stressed the importance of developing the work of friendship groups in the two countries` parliaments.
Asadov also spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, and praised the Indian government`s supporting Azerbaijan`s position.
The Azeri speaker expressed confidence the Indian ambassador will make every effort to contribute to expanding the Azerbaijan-India bilateral relations.
Show reiterated India`s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying “we recognize Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and support peaceful settlement of the dispute”.
He vowed to spare no efforts to contribute to further deepening of relations between the two countries.
