Lao leader stresses developing special ties with Vietnam

Vientiane (VNA) - Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone
stressed the responsibility of Lao and Vietnamese revolutionary generations in
maintaining and developing the friendship, comprehensive relations between the two
countries.

The Lao leader made the remark while receiving the Vietnamese newly-accredited
Ambassador to Lao, Ta Minh Chau, in Vientiane on April 21.

He said the Laos-Vietnam solidarity, friendship and cooperation were fostered by
leaders and people of the two countries and have been constantly developed.

He expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to help each other to
develop their respective economy.

Ambassador Chau praised Laos ' achievements in all fields over the past years and
affirmed that Laos ' position has been constantly improved on the international
arena.

He expressed his hope that President Choummaly Sayasone's up-coming visit to
Vietnam will be a great success.-Enditem
