MAGHREB ARAB PRESS EMPLOYEES VISIT AZERTAC
Baku, April 21 (AzerTAc). Employees of Maghreb Arab Press, the Moroccan official News agency, Fatima al-Hasani and Hisham Ferchi visited today Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc).
AzerTAc`s director general Aslan Aslanov spoke of the history of the agency which was founded by the Government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1920.
He also spoke of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to Azerbaijan`s development, saying his policy is today successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
“Reforms conducted over last few years allowed Azerbaijan to considerably strengthen its international image and become the regional leader.”
“These successes open new opportunities for expanding AzerTAc`s international relations as well,” said Aslanov.
He also touched upon nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to improving AzerTAc`s work.
“Today AzerTAc is a member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies and European Alliance of News Agencies. We are also one of the founders of the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies and the Union of the Turkish Speaking Countries News Agencies which we have been chairing since 2008,” said Aslanov.
Fatima al-Hasani stressed the importance of exchanging information to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
Al-Hasani said her agency is interested in establishing relations with AzerTAc, and offered signing a memorandum of cooperation.
