PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES UAE DELEGATION LED BY MINISTER OF ECONOMY, CHAIRMAN OF FEDERAL TRANSPORT AND GENERAL CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITIES SULTAN BIN SAEED AL-MANSOURI

Baku, April 21 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received an UAE delegation led by minister of economy, chairman of federal transport and general civil aviation authorities, Sultan Bin Saeed Al-Mansouri.
The UAE Minister said his delegation mostly consists of the private sector`s representatives.
Al-Mansouri said both countries have big potential to expand economic and trade relations.
He pointed out that the two countries` officials are interested in strengthening bilateral relations.
President Ilham Aliyev said there are good prospects for developing economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Arabian Emirates.
He spoke of economic situation in Azerbaijan, praising the private sector`s role. “There was no private sector in Azerbaijan when the country was part of the Soviet Union. Reforms conducted over last few years gave boost to development of the private sector in the country,” said the President.
“Today, the share of the private sector in the Gross Domestic Product is 85 percent, and this is very important for Azerbaijan`s economy.”
President Ilham Aliyev said diversifying economy is today one of main priorities for Azerbaijan.
The Head of State expressed confidence the current visit of the UAE delegation led by Sultan Bin Saeed Al-Mansouri would contribute to strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
