‘AZERBAIJAN CAN TRANSPORT PART OF ITS GAS VIA NABUCCO PIPELINE’

Baku, April 21 (AzerTAc). “Azerbaijan is neither an initiator nor participant of the Nabucco project. However, if they ask us to be a transit country, we will, of course, ensure the transit. As any other country, we are keen on transportation of cargo including hydrocarbon materials via our territory,” President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview to Vesti TV channel and ITAR-TASS news agency.
“We signed the Energy Charter, which stipulates commitment of the transit country. If Nabucco pipeline is built, we will be able to ship a part of our gas through it on good conditions. Nevertheless, the present situation can hardly get things improving”
