PM Invites NATO’s Secretary General To Visit Baghdad

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi invited the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, to visit Baghdad to discuss ways to raise the level of joint work, especially in the field of training and support to the security forces. A statement by Al-Kazemi’s office stated that he received a phone call from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to congratulate him on assuming the prime minister and obtaining the confidence of the House of Representatives. Stoltenberg stressed, "NATO's keenness to strengthen partnership with Iraq in combating terrorism through the training mission operating in Iraq." For his part, Al-Kazemi thanked the Secretary-General for his congratulations, and stressed that the Iraqi government attaches great importance to partnership with NATO.
