AZERBAIJANI CONSUL GENERAL MEETS GOVERNOR OF SOUTH AZERBAIJAN PROVINCE OF IRAN

Baku, 20 April (AzerTAc). Consul General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz Aykhan Suleymanov met with governor of the South Azerbaijan Province Iran Alirza Beygi. Debates revolved around the problem of construction of a new bridge between the Azerbaijani border town Julfa and the Iranian city Julfa, the Iranian province of Azerbaijan. Also the parties have discussed building of Ordubad (Azerbaijan) – Marazat (Iran) hydroelectric power station. As was underscored, both countries are keenly interested in rapid expansion of bilateral relations.
At the end of the meeting, Aykhan Suleymanov has presented Alirza Beygi an invitation letter from the Azerbaijan Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov.
