Another charged after man set alight
A second person has been charged after a man was doused with petrol and set alight
in Melbourne's north earlier this week.
The victim, a 42-year-old Reservoir man, had petrol poured on him from a bucket and
was set on fire during an argument with a man and a woman in the driveway of his
home on Thursday afternoon.
He is in The Alfred hospital with third-degree burns to his head, neck, arms, chest
and back.
The alleged offenders were arrested nearby, with the woman charged and a man taken
to hospital suffering a hand injury.
On Saturday, Giovanni Rossi, a 52-year-old Reservoir man, was released from hospital
and faced an out-of-court sessions hearing.
Rossi was charged with attempted murder, reckless conduct endangering life and
intentionally causing serious injury. He was remanded in custody.
He will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on April 20.
The woman arrested at the scene, Kim Emery, 36, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates
