Iran, Senegal ink industrial MoU

Iran?s Minister of Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehrabian held
talks with Senegal's Minister of Mines, Industry and Small and Medium
Enterprises, Ousmane Ngom, on issues of mutual interests in Tehran on
Wednesday evening.

During the visit, the two sides inked an industrial and mineral
memorandum of understanding (MoU).

As per the MoU, the Islamic Republic of Iran is obliged to cooperate
with Senegal in the fields of producing different kinds of auto
diesel, undertaking mine exploration, producing wagon and machinery,
constructing power plants and so on.

Referring to the two sides' economic and cultural commonalities,
Mehrabian added Iran is keen to expand ties with Senegal.

He also cited Senegal as a best partner for expanding Iran?s
commonalities with the African continent.

Ngom, for his part, referring to the construction of the giant auto
manufacturer Iran Khodro?s assembly plant in Senegal, called for
boosting ties with Iran in all arenas.

Ngom heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday.
