LATVIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ARRIVES IN BAKU
Baku, April 16 (AzerTAc). Foreign Minister of Latvia Maris Riekstins arrived in Baku on Thursday.
During the two-day visit, the Latvian Minister will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and other officials.
The talks will focus on prospects for bilateral political and economic relations, the agenda of the intergovernmental comission`s next meeting and the forthcoming visit of Latvian President Valdis Zatlers to Baku.
As part of the trip, the Latvian Minister will participate in Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum.
He will also visit the Alley of Honors and the Alley of Martyrs to revere memories of
nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan`s valiant sons who died for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.
